“It’s all coming back to me now” (or, expanding into ourselves)

As we integrate the expansive and perhaps disorienting energies of the Lion’s Gate portal, I want to share some recent observations and messages from Spirit that have been helpful for me. As always, use your inner discernment on what resonates for you.

While reading the energies for this lunation, I received a vision of a vast river delta, like the Nile or Amazon river. The message from Spirit was that just as these mighty rivers flood each year, bringing in vital nutrients, the energies of the Lion’s Gate portal will bring more of ourselves back to us. Expanding into aspects of our core essence and multidimensional nature, while also perhaps surprising us with our ability to shift in “3D”/human ways we never thought possible! My understanding is that releasing limiting beliefs is a big part of this expansion, as we co-create the reality we believe in.

As a meditative aid to support this process, Spirit showed me an image of a blue hole of fresh, cold water. The invitation in this imagery is to “dive in” (perhaps to a new way of moving through the world, or a new way of relating to ourselves and others, a new opportunity, etc.) even before we feel ready, trusting that we would acclimate to the water temperature as we go. Inviting the cold pure water to support us in renewal of body, mind, and Spirit. This symbolism has another layer of meaning, with the water representing the emotions. My sense is that we are being invited into a new relationship with our emotions, perhaps a reckoning of sorts with honoring our emotional body.

There were also themes in the reading that pointed to a deep healing of sexual energy, which like the emotional energy channel, emanates from the sacral (second) chakra. The sacral charka is the spiritual library for so much that is deeply tied to our human experience, including our creative energy and balance of feminine/masculine (yin/yang) energies, in addition to our emotional and sexual energies. My sense is that when one of our sacral chakra energy channels receives a healing, the other energy channels emanating from this center experience a significant ripple effect. Spirit also brought forward the Celine Dion song “It’s all coming back to me now” as a fun nod to what is available for us at this time in working with these energies!

Suffice to say that shadow work, inner child, past life, and even karmic healing have been showing up in potent healing sessions of late! The beginning of the Lion’s Gate portal (July 28 into early August) may have felt like a roller coaster ride as we released what was necessary in order to make room for more of our authentic expression.

While there is a clear focus on our sacral energies this month, I believe this expansion into self is facilitated through and also deeply involves the heart center. The Summer Solstice was a great catalyst for this, offering the opportunity to connect more deeply within the heart center. I also noticed a trend in individual sessions since the solstice of folks feeling a strong pull to more fully understand and live into their life’s “purpose” (aka their unique gifts/energy signature)--which is connected to the high heart energy center. As the most accessible portal to our multidimensional nature, our ability to drop in and deepen our relationship with the heart center feels integral at this time. 

Indeed, the concept of Heart-Mind Coherence has been getting a lot of attention of late, as many in Spiritual communities, including myself, have been receiving messages highlighting the importance of this relationship. Although I understood the basic premise of supporting coherence between the heart and the mind (i.e. entraining the mind to the frequency of the heart)*, I felt like my understanding of the greater energetic picture was lacking.

About a month ago, reflecting on the energies of the Solstice, I asked my guides to provide clarity and illumination on this concept. The message I received is that we have been in a mind-dominant time (no surprises there), where the energy field/frequency of the heart center had to be distorted in order to “fit in” to this mind-centric expression of the human energy field. We are now in the collective process of shifting this orientation or balance of power, as many of us have sensed, in order to “let the heart lead”. 

The heart field is strengthening as we shed old energies that have prevented us from fully inhabiting the heart center, including “mental energy” (e.g. limiting beliefs formed from our lived experience and cultural programming). While honoring the ways our mental energy perhaps helped keep us safe or otherwise served its purpose on our growth path, we can allow ourselves to release what no longer serves our highest good (e.g. outdated coping mechanisms). As the heart center and toroidal field of the heart come back into a more robust/healed state, my sense is that we will all have the opportunity to find greater ease moving through the world in a heart-centered way and in connecting to our multidimensional nature. May it be so.
